Learning outcomes of the curricular unit (knowledge, skills and competences to be developed by the students)
The sport of Athletics, one of which comprise the curricular unit (UC) Sports Systematic, aims to provide a set of tools, practices and experiences (i) that allow students meet this sport (ii), their teaching and learning areas, particularly on issues that relate to learning the techniques of each discipline (iii) and the knowledge and application of official regulations (iv).
Syllabus
1.Events of the sport of athletics; 2. Competitive season; 3. History of Track & Field; 4. Organization of the sport of Athletics; 5. Sprint events and relays (starting blocks and acceleration); 6. Hurdles (clearing hurdles and running in between ¿ the 3 step in sprint hurdles); 7. Middle and long distance events; 8. Race walk.
9. The shot put (power position and O¿brian technique); Javelin throw (standing position, 3 and 5 steps approach); Discus throw; Hammer Throw; 10. Long and Triple jump (with running approach);High jump (beginning and flop technique); Pole Vault (the beginning); 11. Combined events.

Teaching methodologies (including evaluation)
A. Practical sessions to experience all the events of athletics; B. Emphasis on critical components, progressions and pedagogical experimentation; C. Coaching videos and other Theoretical sessions to introduce each event; D.Organization into groups; E. Assistance to students beyond school hours provided in track and e-learning.
The assessment procedures are considered Continuous Assessment and Final Examination.;
1 - Continuous Assessment = Individual work - (20%) - development of a pedagogical technique athletics; - Practical assessment
- (40%) - assessment of technical performance, participation and critical attitude; written test on all matter taught - (40%). Students can not score less than 9.5 in each evaluation
2 - Final Exam - Written exam - (30%); - Practical Exam - (30%) - Oral examination - (40%)
