Learning outcomes of the curricular unit (knowledge, skills and competences to be developed by the students)

¿ Identify the various skills of a medical office of a training and non-professional football team
¿ Identify and prevent situations and risk factors in training and non-professional football
¿ Identify the injuries caused by the risk situations mentioned, namely by trauma, overuse and inappropriate use
¿ Know the current methodologies and techniques associated with rehabilitation and return to competition
¿ Know the methodologies, techniques and current scientific knowledge associated with injury prevention, training and competition control and nutrition in football
¿ Master the specific nomenclature of the discipline.

Syllabus

¿ Structure, functions, responsibilities, communication and skills of the medical department of a non-professional football team
¿ Instruments and materials from a medical office at a non-professional football club
¿ Emergency and basic life support in sports venues
¿ Risk Factors: Sleep, the Rest / Training ratio, Drugs, Doping, Alcohol, Hydration and control and the importance of Footwear
¿ Diagnosis and treatment of injuries in Sports Training
¿ Rehabilitation and return to practice after injury in Sports Training
¿ Evaluation, monitoring and control of training and competition in Football
¿ ¿Psychological Moment¿ (ex: stress) of the athlete as a predictor of injury
¿ Prevention of injuries in Sports Training
¿ Injury Prevention Programs
¿ Nutrition, food and supplementation in Sports Training

Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the curricular unit's learning objectives

In the Sports Training Course, which requires the specialization of professionals who in the future will intervene in the most varied areas of Training and in which their training intends that their skills allow them to deal with all possible situations in this context, it is important that his knowledge also covers an extremely important area, that of the relationship between Sport Sciences and Sports Medicine, and in this case in Training and Non-Professional Football, in order to ensure a safe adaptation of the intervention methodologies. In this perspective, it is essential to acquire knowledge on various topics such as the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries in football, the knowledge and familiarization of a structure and functions of a medical office and also to know the various areas that are nowadays involved in this theme, such as nutrition and supplementation and training evaluation and control.

Teaching methodologies (including evaluation)

Assessment in Normal Season:
The final classification of the UC is determined by the following formula: Final Classification = [(1st written form x 7) + (2nd written form x 7) + (Individual work x 6) / 20]. Each written Form corresponds to 35% of the Final Classification and the Individual Work corresponds to 30%.
The Normal Época Exam consists of a Written Test and an Individual Work.

Assessment in the Appeal Period: The assessment in the Appeal Period covers all subjects taught at the UC and consists of a Written Exam and an Oral Test, each corresponding to 50% of the Final Classification.

Students in special situations: available to all students who find themselves in special conditions under current regulations and laws and will consist of 2 parts: A written test (written exam) and an oral test (oral exam) carried out on dates to be agreed with the student.


Demonstration of the coherence between the teaching methodologies and the learning outcomes

The use of more interactive, participatory and diversified teaching methods aims to guarantee the development of autonomy in students while they work towards the achievement of the defined objectives. A The acquisition of knowledge about the objectives defined for a course unit is sought, as well as the acquisition of practical skills and research and critical analysis.
