Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the curricular unit's learning objectives

The contents are organized around the acquisition of instrumental skills of research of scientific evidence in electronic databases, demonstrated by the elaboration of reproducible research protocol, with a systematic literature review perspective in order to allow the identification of a thematic as support for the development of a project based on the research methodology. Complexity is a characteristic of nursing, namely in responding to the emerging singularities of the philosophy of person and family centered care, so that the mobilization of the identified evidence needs to be translated to the processes of response construction, from learning to evidence based practice. This perspective also emphasizes interpersonal skills, namely interdisciplinary and multiculturalism, mobilizing the systemic competences in the scope of knowledge construction, from the capacity for the critical appreciation of the results of nursing research, from the results of the search, and knowledge translation, specifically during the internship.

Teaching methodologies (including evaluation)

The methodology is based on student work through systematic literature review, database research, article analysis, research studies, simulation of the elaboration of a project using the research methodology and group discussion. The autonomous work is the time used by the student for research, analysis and preparation of the study of the contents of the CU, promoting self-learning and corresponding to the difference between the contact hours (HC) and the total hours (HT) provided in the CU. The assessment is in line with the objectives, contents and active methodologies. Students will develop the protocol as a support to the project with the methodology of group research, in TP and OT classes, being the assessment instrument (75%), is based on individual reflection on learning, analysis of strengths, constraints and strategies to overcome them. The result of the work developed will be presented in a seminar (25%).

Demonstration of the coherence between the teaching methodologies and the learning outcomes

Students have the opportunity to develop a group research strategy, consultation and analysis of qualitative studies and quantitative studies, leading to selection through the evaluation of the methodological quality of articles and reports of masters and PhD¿s. This strategy allows the student to develop the research methodology, as a research user, and to do so in the form of a study accompanied by tutorial guidance, made available throughout the course of the curricular unit.
The discussion and sharing of ideas about each of the phases of the studies is a reason for discussion and reflection in the classroom with the use of interactive techniques such as the seminar, presenting the results of the analysis developed, allowing students to learn the results of the selected scientific evidence.
