Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the curricular unit's learning objectives

The master's student is expected to frame the intervention of the health professional to the woman inserted in the family and community, taking as a focus of attention the ethnic and cultural specificities, managing the risks and benefits in health oriented in scientific evidence, in order to ensure the quality of the professional exercise.
It is intended to prepare master's students for the specificity of meetings in their cultural diversity, either due to the language barrier or the mutual lack of knowledge of ethnic and cultural characteristics between those who care and who are cared for. The intervention strategies mobilized, contribute to the prevention and resolution of cultural shocks and conflicts and promote culturally safe care in women inserted in the family and community.
The development of the different strategies learned promotes the coherence of professional practice, in a multi- and interprofessional approach, taking into account the national reality.

Teaching methodologies (including evaluation)

Theoretical and theoretical-practical teaching, in a theoretical-conceptual approach to the different themes, combined with individual and small group work in the classroom and in fieldwork. The following strategies will be used: reading and analysis of texts; analysis of problems related to practice and reflexivity in action.

The autonomous component of the UC is achieved through reading, critical reflection and systematization of fundamental ideas about the topics covered and others that complement the development of skills and that enhance decision-making.
Evaluation:
Preparation of a group poster communication - 60%
Oral presentation of the work in Seminar - 40%

Demonstration of the coherence between the teaching methodologies and the learning outcomes

The defined objectives are expected to be achieved through the different teaching methodologies implemented, which promote the active participation of the master's student in the teaching and learning process, for the development of critical-reflective thinking based on a set of scientific knowledge.

The use of participatory/interactive strategies favor reflexivity in master's students, empowering them to demonstrate the integration of knowledge and competencies in the specificity of health care in multicultural contexts.
The analysis and mobilization of documentary sources contribute to the elaboration of the group poster, presented and discussed in a Seminar, and favors an evidence-based practice.
