Reflect on the importance, functions, contexts and constraints of communicational processes. Reflect on the specificities of written, oral and non-verbal communication. 1. The communication process and its importance. 2. Functions, contexts and constraints of communication. 3. Communication and written expression. The various contexts of written communication. 4. Communication and oral expression. The various contexts of oral communication. 5. Communication and non-verbal expression. The various contexts of non-verbal communication. 6. Organizational communication. 7. Intercultural communication. 8. Electronic communication. 9. Communication in ICT.
Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the curricular unit¿s learning objectives
The syllabus is in line with the objectives of this curricular unit. Chapters 1 and 2 allow students to reflect on the importance, functions, contexts and constraints of communication processes. Chapters 3, 4 and 5 allow students to reflect on the specifics of written, oral and non-verbal communication and learn techniques to improve these forms of communication. Chapter 6 allows students to understand organizational communication processes and techniques. Chapters 7, 8 and 9 allow students to reflect on intercultural communication, electronic communication and ICT communication.
Teaching and learning methodologies specific to the curricular unit articulated with the pedagogical model
The teaching methodology will be oriented towards the acquisition of instrumental, interpersonal and systemic skills, supported in: a) Interactive classes, where the teacher assumes the role of catalyst and mediator of learning, through the use of expositive and participatory learning techniques; b) Performing written, individual and group works, with or without oral presentation. The evaluation will be composed of: - A written test (25%) - The preparation and presentation of individual and group works (75%). Students must obtain a minimum mark of 7 points (in 20), on the written test, to be exempt from the final exam.
Demonstration of the coherence of teaching and evaluation methodologies between the learning objectives of the curricular unit
The teaching methodologies followed in this curricular unit allow the learning objectives to be progressively achieved. Thus, it starts from the fundamental bases of the communicational processes, for a progressive focus on the different forms of communication. Through practical and interactive classes, the various practical assignments and the written test, students consolidate their learning and reinforce their communication skills.
