Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the curricular unit's learning objectives

In this curricular unit, the aim is to make students aware of the relevance of analysis and text production, in Portuguese, within the scope of their future professional path, framed in their area of study. In this way, the syllabus contents are organized around the development of language skills and their adaptation to specific contexts and interlocutors, adequately mobilizing text production techniques, using them in different communication registers.

Teaching methodologies (including evaluation)

Methodologies/strategies: Reading and analysis of texts; Carrying out tasks that promote written production capacity; Resolution of exercises that promote autonomy with regard to the foreseen contents.

Assessment: individual written test (40%) aiming to mobilize instrumental and systemic skills; elaboration of a portfolio (20%); participation in classes and in the Moodle platform (or other online collaborative work mechanisms): individual participation (20%) and group participation (20%), both to be distributed equally between the written and oral components, intending to mobilize instrumental, systemic and interpersonal.

Demonstration of the coherence between the teaching methodologies and the learning outcomes

With regard to theoretical classes, the teacher makes the conceptual framework of the subjects, guiding the individual and small group work. In theoretical-practical classes, it is expected that practical exercises will be carried out based on topics of a theoretical nature and questionnaires (written and oral) on different aspects of written production. Linguistic exercises that contribute to the student's autonomy with regard to written production are also planned.
The treatment of contents explores a diverse set of texts adapted to general and communicative skills more directly related to the language that is intended to be developed in future clinical secretarial professionals.
Small group work will encourage the sharing of knowledge about written production in addition to developing interpersonal skills.
With these strategies, it is intended that the student acquire skills to analyze and intervene in situations related to their academic and professional practice.
